School Uniform

At Wilbraham, all children are asked to wear school uniform. We feel that it is smart and comfortable and that wearing school uniform promotes positive feelings of belonging to the school community, as well as helping to avoid daily arguments about what is fashionable and what is not fashionable to wear for school. It also makes life much easier for parents/carers.  The support we have from parents/carers for this is very encouraging.

The school uniform approved by the Governing Body is listed below:

Girls

Boys

Black or Grey Skirt, pinafore dress or Trousers

Plain White shirt or polo top

Royal Blue cardigan or jumper (with or without the school logo)

Black shoes (no trainers)

Black or Grey Trousers

Plain White shirt or polo top

Royal Blue jumper (with or without the school logo)

Black shoes (no trainers)

Our school jumper can be purchased from our school office.  Sweatshirts are available in sizes: 24, 26, 28, 30, 32 and 34 chest.

Apart from the school jumper and bookbags, which can be bought through the school office, all items of the uniform can be obtained from most shops specialising in children's clothing.

The supplier of uniform that we use at Wilbraham is Sallies Uniform Suppliers who come into school on a half termly basis to set up a uniform shop in our school canteen and parents/carers have a wide choice available to them.  Contact details for Sallies Uniform Suppliers are as follows:

Lost Property / Labels for Clothes

We acquire an unbelievable amount of lost property. This includes training shoes, sweatshirts, polo shirts and PE kit. Any item which is found is first checked for a name label. It is then returned to the owner. If the owner cannot be identified and it is a common piece of clothing (eg. a school sweatshirt) it is placed in our lost property. Lost property is located in our Key Stage 1 hallway.  It is also made available at the front of the school at least once each term when parents/carers are asked to claim any lost items before they are sent to charity.

Parents/carers are asked to ensure that all items of clothing are clearly labelled with their child's name. It is very difficult to return items of school uniform if they are not labelled, particularly as they all look the same.  Woven name tags are available to purchase from our uniform supplier Sallies, if you would like to order these for your child please contact Sallies Uniform Supplies on the number above.

Jewellery in school

The wearing of jewellery in school is not allowed for safety reasons.  Small stud earrings can be worn but parents/carers should note that the school cannot accept responsibility for their safekeeping.
